Description:
The coin's reverse features a representation of images from the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial. The Australian War Memorial is Australia’s national memorial to the members of its armed forces who lost their lives during conflict involving the Commonwealth of Australia. The coin depicts four of the stained glass windows in the Hall of Memory including, audacity, devotion, comradeship and chivalry. In the center of the design is a colored representation of the tesserae mosaics and the Byzantine dome. The design includes the inscriptions AUDACITY, DEVOTION, COMRADESHIP and CHIVALRY. The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark below left and the the designer's initials (LB) above right.
