The reverse of the coin features the profile of Henry Lawson's face composed of a number of characters and settings from his poems and short stories representing life in the bush as reflected in his writings – including a cattleman, swagman, cattle dog, sheep, windmill, bush hut, water butt, tent and billycans near a stream, as well as a bush fire. The Perth Mint "P" mint mark is judiciously placed near a tree below left. The legend "150TH ANNIVERSARY OF HENRY LAWSON" denotes the theme and the designer's initials (NM) below at the bottom.
