Description:
The obverse presents a selectively colored winter wildlife scene with a rabbit seated in profile and turning its head directly toward the viewer on snow-covered ground. The animal has upright ears, a visible eye, carefully textured fur and a rounded body against a dramatic snow-covered colored fir tree branches in the background with the silver surface and snowy landscape. A Chinese character for “Rabbit” appears prominently on the right side, while a vertical inscription panel on the right displays “YEAR OF THE RABBIT” . The mirrored silver surface surrounding multiple angular, interlocking geometric lines on both sides adds depth and contrast to the colored design.
