CARCHARHINUS PEREZI
Description:
The obverse features a dramatic underwater scene rendered with deep color application and sculptural relief. A Caribbean reef shark glides through rich blue waters, its textured body and flowing contours conveying movement and grace. Surrounding the shark are coral formations, green reef structures, red coral branches, and a deep blue underwater background that evokes the ocean’s depth. Additional raised silver a graceful island with tall coconut palm detailed ocean waves extending toward the horizon, and a beautifully detailed image of a long-snouted seahorse with bubbles that emphasize the animal’s movement and aquatic environment, appear outside the central colored area, creating a layered, dynamic composition. The upper rim carries the inscription "CARCHARHINUS PEREZI", emphasizing the species scientific name.
