THE BIG FIVE OF AFRICA • RHINOCEROS
1 oz BIG 2010 AG .999

Description:
The obverse features a closeup black rhinoceros face detail with prominent horn and textured folds superimposed over a detailed depiction of a black rhinoceros walking. Its massive body, prominent shoulder hump, deeply textured skin folds, and distinctive double horns are sculpted in frosted relief against mirrored Proof fields. The dramatic contrast enhances the strength and presence of the animal. In the background, a geometric ornament resembling traditional Rwandese patterns is shown above and modern buildings below. The composition is enhanced by the series name around the upper rim, the year below, and the metal, weight and purity on the both sides.
