The reverse features the beautifully engraved of the iconic 17th-century vessel Mayflower under sail with its imposing wooden hull, high stern and distinctive projecting figurehead, displaying detailed rigging, masts, flags, sails, the ship’s hull, and multiple billowing square sails, while sculpted waves beneath the hull create a dramatic sense of movement against the compass rose at the upper left, surrounded by a map grid and navigational details in the background. A ribbon inscription reads “Mayflower,” and an inset medallion features Sea nautical navigation instruments "sextant, , divider, sailor compass, metal spyglass" all within a circle surrounded by the text identifying the series "African Ounce" left while the metal, weight and purity accompanied by the date "2020 1oz FINE SILVER 999" along the right edge.
