Description:
The reverse of the coin depicts an Australian nurse providing medical care and holding a lighting Gas Lanterns with the other hand, often in the face of extreme danger, commemorating events such as the German bombing raid on the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station near Armentières on July 22, 1917. The inscription identify theme "1917 - FRONT line ANGELS" above, a red poppy at the right side, and the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark at the opposite. The designer's initials "AH" in tiny letters right below.
