On the obverse of the coin, Fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, framed by the inscriptions: "5 DOLLARS" - the face value, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, and "AUSTRALIA" - the issuing country.

Description:
The Coin’s reverse features a modernistic and slightly abstract composition of royal insignia, highlighted by the prominent positioning of St Edward's Crown over the Queen's personal cypher: EIIR (for Elizabeth II Regina - Queen Elizabeth the Second) surround by the inscription identify theme "LONGEST REIGNING COMMONWEALTH MONARCH", depiction of the anointing Coronation silver-gilt Spoon vertically and a border consisting of some of the coronation oil's (was used of neroli, jasmine, rose, cinnamon, benzoin, musk, civet and ambergris) and ingredients alongside Australia's golden wattle.
