Description:
The coin bears the image of a finely detailed image of the one of Australia's most endearing ambassadors, the koala sat on a eucalyptus tree stump, is the central feature of the reverse . A much-loved symbol of Australia and a favourite with international visitors, cuddly appearance. It prefers to live high up in selected species of eucalypt trees, on whose leaves it dines. The border design is based on one of Australia's most beautiful trees, a wreath of the Red Flowering Gum (Eucalyptus Ficifolia) gum leaves and gumnuts from bud to flower. The Sydney 2000 colored logo (hosted city rises above the five colored Olympic rings) at the bottom on a triangle-shape baner and the Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark just above.
