Description:
The coin depicts Sydney Harbour, looking towards the entrance of the harbour, or ‘Heads’, from the city. It shows the sea and the land, dominated by the air above and Seagulls gracefully soaring in the air over the sea coast. Fort Denison is depicted in the middle of the harbour. The border of the coin shows the diverse weather conditions experienced throughout this vast country. Rain, wind, sun, snow, clouds and clear skies are all represented. The Sydney 2000 colored logo (hosted city rises above the five colored Olympic rings) at the bottom on a triangle-shape banner and the 'C' Royal Australian Mint, Canberra at the upper edge.
