6th crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right (the Commonwealth effigy), wearing the George IV State Diadem, the Coronation Necklace and Earrings framed by inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” "the dates of the Queen's reign 1952 - 2022, mintage date 2023" “AUSTRALIA,” and the face value “5 DOLLARS.”

Description:
The verse depicts a finely engraved richly lifelike colored scorpion in dynamic high relief, its segmented body, curved tail, and sharp pincers rendered with striking precision. The scorpion features accents that shift between dark and light brown and dark and light hobakjuk yellow tones, creating a sense of movement and depth in its desert environment with the rays of the Sun baking into the sand. On the bottom of the reverse the inscription "1 oz. 999 SILVER" - the weight of the coin and the purity of the Silver. On the left of the inscription "DESERT SCORPION" - the name of the coin and the designer's monogram "A over B" in tiny letters right below.
