Description:
The coin’s reverse portrays a bust of Charles Todd, a builder of the telegraph routes that would link to an overseas cable, against a representation of telegraph poles through the dry interior of Australia in the background. The inscription accompanied by dates year of birth and year of death “CHARLES TODD 1827 • 1910” curve around the right side. Below left the image is the denomination and the face value "5 DOLLARS." The designer's initials (WP) are below right, on his collar.
