AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM

Description:
At the heart of the coin is the Australian Olympic committee logo (the coat of arms sits seamlessly on top of the classic Olympic rings, features the traditional Australian green and gold, inspired by the Golden Wattle flower). A striking image of an Olympic skier mid-flight with skis, in a streamlined aerodynamic pose. The athlete’s winter gear- helmet, gloves, goggles, boots, insulated suit and body tension are carefully detailed and richly accentuated. Encircling the scene are decorative rings of selective gold plating with inscriptions "PYEONGCHANG 2018", "AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM" and the face value "5 DOLLARS" above left. The designer's initials (A over B) are also incorporated into the design above right.
