Description:
The reverse of the coin features a representation of a domesticated or pet buxom pig, along with four piglets going about their business. Fine engraving reveals detailed musculature, textured skin with visible fur lines, pointed ears, rounded form, raised expressive snout, hooves, and a curled tail amid stylized foliage. The Chinese pinyin (豬) character for ‘pig’ above and the inscription ‘Year of the Pig’ appear in the design is inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the the designer's initials (LB) are also incorporated into the design above it on a leaf.
