Description:
The reverse design takes inspiration from the Japanese art of origami, with some the figures depicted looking like folded paper. It features four swimmers in a pool divided into swimming lanes, each followed by a Koi Carp fish symbolizing the perseverance required in the tough journey to become an elite athlete. At the starting positions, five origami carp. The stylized half‑border below left is a geometric pattern also representing folded origami. In the fifth lane, the official logo of the Australian Olympic Committee (a kangaroo and emu, between them the seven-pointed Federation Star of Australia, below them the Olympic rings) just under a rectangular cartouche enclosing the Japanese language characters 東京 (Tokyo). On two lines the inscription AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC TEAM, the face value and silver purity and weight "1Kg .999Ag" below.
