AUSTRALIAN STRIPED MARLIN

Description:
The reverse of the coin captures a dynamic portrayal of striped marlin breaching the water. Its long bill extends forward, while the tall dorsal fin rises prominently from its back. The vertical striping along the body is clearly defined, and the overall design highlights the speed and strength of this well-known ocean species with careful attention to anatomical accuracy in the fish’s elongated bill, streamlined form, and detailed fins. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series "AUSTRALIAN STRIPED MARLIN" inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the designer's initials (IJ) are also incorporated into the design below mintmark , on the tail fin.
