Description:
The reverse of the coin shows a beautifully detailed Hawksbill sea turtle in the foreground, gliding through the entire Great Barrier Reef area which feeds and nests throughout it. In the background, vibrant coral reefs, capturing jellyfish, an angelfish and dozens of different types of corals and marine plants rendered in exquisite detail. The Perth Mint 'P' mint mark can be found on the left-hand side, with the initials of the designer (NM) appearing just under, behind the turtle.
