Description:
The reverse field of the coin, features the horrifying image of a Great White in the foreground, swimming through the Great Barrier Reef with minor fish and marine vegetation in the background. The massive shark is breaking the surface of the water as it moves to its prey. The most terrifying part of the design is the presence of its razor-sharp teeth. These teeth allow the aggressive predators to tear into victims and rip off large chunks. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series accompanied by the date "2022 GREAT BARRIER REEF" inscribed close to the upper rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint's traditional "P" mint mark appears and the designers initials “WR” appearing at the opposite.
