Description:
The reverse of the Eight shaped coin features a gorgeous design of a Dragon and Phoenix, surrounded by clouds. They face each other, while their bodies take up the entire surface of the coin, creating a symmetrical image. The number eight is also considered extremely lucky as the Chinese word for ‘eight’ holds great meaning in Chinese culture. The pronunciation of 8 in Chinese, “Ba” sounds very much like the word “Fa”, which means fortune. The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark below right and the designer's initials "WR" in tiny letters below left .
