Description:
Within a roped-shape circle the reverse depicts a richly detailed image of HMAS Armidale II, a patrol boat commissioned in 2005, routinely involved in boarder protection duties, in the middle. The upper half of the design captures the battle honors of it (DARWIN 1942, PACIFIC 1942, and NEW GUINEA 1942) within a ribbon and emblem of HMAS Armidale II and The lower half of the design the face value "2 DOLLARS" against the map of Australia where the battles occurred in the background. The inscription "100 YEARS OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY" around above - the coin name - and the submarine name "H.M.A.S. ARMIDALE II" around below. The dates "1911 - 2011" are inscribed on both sides.
