The obverse features a striking Ruthenium finish image of black panther in deep black, standing gracefully on grassy terrain with its detailed faces, paws, muscular bodies, whiskers and open mouth, while a striking gilt finish a Leopard rests gracefully on a broad branch of textured tree trunks above him with its fine engraving highlights spotted fur, slender bodies, attentive eyes, and delicate facial features . The scene includes detailed jungle elements: tree branches, textured ground, wide acacia trees, vegetation and a calm horizon complete the African landscape rendered in frosted relief. Diamond crystals form the Leopard's eyes and green crystals form the black panther's, creating a striking contrast with the reflective gold surface.
