Description:
The obverse shows the majestic frigate USS Constitution also known as Old Ironsides, is a three-masted solid wooden hull, one of the most famous ships of the Age of Sail sailing forward and dynamic ocean waves. The sails display visible seams and folds, while the rigging lines, ropes, yards, and mast supports are carefully engraved. Small flags fly from the masts, row of guns, and the deck structures and railing details are clearly defined, giving the scene depth and authenticity against the compass rose at the upper left, surrounded by a map grid and navigational details in the background. A ribbon inscription reads “USS Constitution,” and an inset medallion features Sea nautical navigation instruments "sextant, , divider, sailor compass, metal spyglass" all within a circle surrounded by the text identifying the series "Nautical Ounce" left while the metal, weight and purity accompanied by the date "2022 3oz FINE SILVER 999" along the right edge.
