The reverse design features the Northern Territory's Coat of Arms (The Northern Territory Coat of Arms granted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1978, features Aboriginal motifs in the central shield. In the middle of the shield is the figure of a women from the sacred rock art site at Nourlangie in Arnhem Land in characteristic X-Ray style. The figure is flanks by stylised motifs representing campsites joing by the journey paths of Central Australian Aboriginals. The shield is supported by two Kangaroos each holding a seashell. The Territory's floral emblem, Stuart's Desert Rose, is depicted at their feet.) granted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1978, representing one of 9 states and territories that make up Australia. State name "NORTHERN TERRITORY" around above. The face value "10 DOLLARS" is inscribed close to the bottom rim.
