Description:
Fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara within a circle surrounded by the inscriptions "5 DOLLARS" - the face value, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen, and "AUSTRALIA" - the issuing country, the coin rims and serrated edge are painstakingly gilded in 24 carat gold.

The reverse of the coin fine silver coin with selective gold plating features select depictions three kangaroos from past Kangaroo series coins. On the left, the iconic leaping kangaroo surrounded by a circular rim evoking an Australian penny from 1937. In the background, flowering gum tree branches. On the top of the reverse, the inscription: "KANGAROO" - the name of the coin. On the top-right of the reverse, the inscription: "5 OZ .999 AG" - the weight and the fineness of the coin. On the bottom, the inscription: "25TH ANNIVERSARY" and the coin rims and serrated edge are painstakingly gilded in 24 carat gold.
