The reverse features a stylized horse, each powerful muscle shown with depth and nuance — no one wouldn’t want to get in the way of that kick. The design was inspired by Chinese art from the Ming Emperor Chenghua Period from 1465 to 1467. The reverse also features the Chinese character (馬) for “horse” just below the horse’s hooves and the the designer's initials (CL) at the opposite below the horse’s fore leg.
