Description:
The reverse depicts an Art Deco style interpretation of Nike. Her muscular figure, as a symbol of strength, is seen kneeling as she honors an unseen hero with a victory laurel in the palm of her right hand. She holds a sword in a non-threatening position low on her left side as a gesture of respect and a sign of peace. Also included in the design are the inscription "WINGED VICTORY" and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint above and the designer's initials (JM) in tiny letters in the lowest part of the left wing.
