Description:
The reverse of the coin features a majestic scene to represent and honor Australia’s largest bird of prey, a family of eagles the female eagle is seen nesting and caring for her newborn eaglet with finely engraved plumage, strong legs, while the father eagle flies toward them in the sky above. The inscriptions read "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE" around above left, "2018 – 1 oz 9999 SILVER" found around below left denotes the year, weight, content, and purity, with the Perth Mint “P” mintmark completing the design at the right side and the designer's initials (JM) appears discreetly in the ground below the eagle's feet.
