The reverse shows the official coronation photograph taken by Cecil Beaton on June 2, 1953, licensed by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. It depicts Her Majesty in the Imperial State Crown, holding the Sovereign’s sceptre-with-cross and the Sovereign’s orb, symbols of temporal and spiritual power, while the left it struck the Imperial State Crown above dates year of coronation and of issue. The reverse also features the engraved word 'ANNIVERSARY OF CORONATION' around the left side. The P mint mark of the Perth Mint appears and the metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER” above vertically.
