Description:
The coin’s reverse depicts a pair of emus resting near a body of water in the Australian outback. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the new series "AUSTRALIAN EMU" around above, the year of issue, weight, purity, and metal content are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the the designer's initials (NM) are also incorporated into the design at the opposite in the ground to the right of the bird.
