This stunning silver coin features a central opal insert displaying it's beautiful array of color in the shape of the Australian continent. Mined in opal is a colorful gemstone which in its most precious form is renowned for a spectacular ‘play of colors’. The precious insert is encircled by representations of iconic Australian aquatic wildlife - including a great white shark, sea turtle, seahorse, blue-ringed octopus, starfish and stingray against corals in the background alongside the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark right above and the designer's initials (AH) at the opposite below the fish. The metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER,” date "2021" at the right side.
