Description:
The coin features a highly detailed design inspired by the coat of arms of the state of New South Wales in eastern Australia, which includes a lion and eight-pointed stars, with the British Cross dividing the background and eight British Tudor roses, 6th crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right (the Commonwealth effigy), wearing the George IV State Diadem, the Coronation Necklace and Earrings framed by inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” and the date “2022” in the lower portion of the design below a massive lion. In addition, the obverse includes information about the weight, purity of the bullion, as well as the motto "NEWLY RISEN HOW BRIGHTLY YOU SHINE.

Description:
The coin’s reverse features a standing kangaroo, Merino sheep, wheat and the floral Waratah. Surrounding the NSW banner is each state's floral emblems with the rays of the rising sun, a depiction of a kangaroo. The most notable and beloved of Australia’s native marsupials, supports a shield with the denomination of the coin noted and the designer's monogram (AB) are at the right side.
