The coin reverse features a beautifully engraved Australian Kunbarrasaurus Ieversi, an armored herbivore walking, its sleek scales in a proof-like finish, behind it, part of the body of the Diamantinasaurus and tail of the Australovenator from the series. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series "AUSTRALIAN DINOSAURS" around above and the coin name "KUNBARRASAURUS" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. The face value "1 DOLLAR" below the dinosaur.
