Description:
The central reverse design depicts a Humpback Whale in an icy landscape appearing within the outline of Antarctica. Journeying each year between Antarctic waters and favored mating grounds inside the Great Barrier Reef and near the Kimberley coast Humpbacks are an awe-inspiring sight. Icebergs are visible in the background, one of them a shimmering blue. Inscriptions "HUMPBACK WHALE 2008" and "AUSTRALIAN ANTARCTIC TERRETORY." In the right field, The P mint mark of the Perth Mint above whale's flukes the designer's initials (SB) at the left below whale's mouth. Around right below the metal, weight and purity "1 OZ 999 SILVER."
