The coin portrays Mary Gillick’s effigy of the young Queen which appeared on Australian circulating coinage between 1953 and 1964. The portrait overlays a backdrop of stylized wattle, Australia’s national floral emblem, and is surrounded by the inscription ‘H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II" around above "21 APRIL 1926’ around below. Also included in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark right below.
