The reverse features a central opal inlay, where the shimmering gemstone has been laser-cut to depict a detailed a flying Ghost Bat, radiating with iridescent flashes of blue, green, and fiery hues. Around the opal are finely engraved the Southern Cross constellation a renowned star group which is only visible in the Southern hemisphere, intricate caves and Kurrajong flowers, a waning gibbous moon, reflecting the animal’s nocturnal nature The inscriptions include "GHOST BAT," alongside the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark and the the designer's initials (AH) at the opposite on the branch. The metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER,” date "2015" at the right side.
