Description:
On the reverse coin is a colored male emu near a body of water with its young hatchling walking gracefully across the landscape with impressive, capturing the emu’s unique feathers, posture details . The hatchling has ventured close to the edge of the water as the male emu keeps a watchful eye on the pairs surroundings to ensure no predators get the drop on the young hatchling. Engravings on this face identify the name of the new series "AUSTRALIAN EMU" around above, the year of issue, weight, purity, and metal content are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears above and the the designer's initials (MR) are also incorporated into the design below in the ground to the right of the adult bird.
