A scroll below reads 'ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE'. The badge is surmounted by a King's Crown )incorporating the motto DOCTRINAVIM PROMOVET (Learning promotes strength). In the right field, The P mint mark of the Perth Mint appears and the designer's initials (RV) appears below it above the officer's shoulder.
