The coin’s reverse depicts a pair of gleaming kangaroos gilded in 24-carat gold bounding against a stylized impression of Australia’s vast outback. Completing the picture is a representation of the sun, signifying the hot, arid conditions for which the land is justly famous bordered by the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, the year of issue, weight, purity, and metal content "2018 1oz 9999 SILVER" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears above and the the designer's initials (NH) are also incorporated into the design at the opposite to the left of the kangaroos.
