Description:
This stunning silver coin features a central opal insert displaying it's beautiful array of color in the shape of the Australian continent. Mined in three Australian states, opal is a colorful gemstone which in its most precious form is renowned for a spectacular ‘play of colors’. The precious insert is encircled by representations of iconic Australian land animals including the kangaroo, emu, koala, echidna, wombat, bilby, Tasmanian devil, frilled-neck lizard, goanna and the eastern brown snake alongside the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark and the designer's initials (AH) at the opposite on the emu tail. The metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER,” date "2020" at the right side.
