The coin’s reverse design depicts a scene of the classic Australian bushranger and the brave colonial trooper, reflecting the drama and action of the time, depicts two bushrangers standing foreground one holding a Cow Roping with his hand and other hand catch gun, right one with a horse and to the left ‘Captain Thunderbolt’ Frederick Ward on horseback chasing bushranger. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series "AUSTRALIAN BUSHRANGERS" above image within a wild west banner with bulletproof armor musk of Ned kelly bushranger. The designer's initials (AS) below left.
