Description:
The coin reverse features four Australovenator wintonensis (meaning "southern hunter") predators leaping left on the earth with a pre-historic tree in the background, below the fossil skeleton of the same species under earth above which the face value "1 DOLLAR" and the designer's initials (AWB) are on the left. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series "DINOSAURS DOWNUNDER" are inscribed close to the bottom rim and the coin name "AUSTRALOVENATOR" around above, a small letter C (from Canberra) represents a mint mark of the Royal Australian Mint between fossil legs.
