Description:
The coin reverse design features a male and female emu standing in a natural environment and there are stones, foliage, and grass near a dry creek bed with a barren tree in the background. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the new series "AUSTRALIAN EMU" around above, the year of issue, weight, purity, and metal content are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the the designer's initials (NM) are also incorporated into the design in the ground to the right of the bird.
