Below the effigy, reproduction obverse of the King George V portrait pre-decimal Australian coins (1931 Florin, 1916 Shilling, 1926 Sixpence, 1936 Threepence, 1935 Penny and 1934 Halfpenny) surrounded by ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA" and the denomination “1 DOLLAR.”

The reverse design shows the reverse of King George V Australian coins (1931 Florin, 1916 Shilling, 1926 Sixpence, 1936 Threepence, 1935 Penny and 1934 Halfpenny) surrounded by inscription "AUSTRALIAN PRE-DECIMAL COINS 2006" and Australian Coat of Arms (the kangaroo, emu and the shield containing the coat of arms. Those issued between 1910 and 1936 have a seven-pointed star above the coat of arms, and the Southern Cross constellation within the shield.) below. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark is not included.
