Description:
The reverse depicts group of soldiers marching beneath a representation of Britannia holding her trident with the The Union Jack is flown proudly, and wearing a Corinthian helmet, symbolic of British liberties and democracy. Adding to the image is the inscription, ‘1914 – When the Empire is at War, so is Australia at War’, a red poppy motif at the right side. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ Mint Mark appears and the the designer's initials (NM) at the bottom incorporated into the design.
