Description:
The coin portrays an overhead view of the Super Pit, a hole so large it is visible from space. Extraordinary detailing highlights the pit’s stepped slopes and the roadways used by haul trucks. Engravings on this face of the coin identify the name of the series "SUPER PIT AUSTRALIA" around above, the year of issue, weight, purity, and metal content are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the the designer's initials (SR) are also incorporated below left next to "0" of 2023.
