The inscription identifies the theme "DISCOVER AUSTRALIA" curves along the upper edge and its name accompanied by weight, purity, and metal content "2009 DOLPHIN 1/10 OZ 9999 GOLD" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the designer's initials (DB) are also incorporated into the design below left on the tree branch.
