Description:
The reverse of the gilt with 24 carat gold coin depicts a number of large dots arranged in a crystal-like pattern (a "honeycomb design"), some of them with different surfaces treatment making them stand out from the surrounding dots; these form a large numeral 50, for the 50 years of the anniversary and for the value of 50 cents. In small letters divided by this arrangement, the anniversary dates 1965 and 2015. In smaller letters below right, the designer's initials (AS) surround by the inscription identify theme "ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN MINT" below left.
