Description:
Fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, framed by inscriptions ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, the coin's mintage year, "2017," and the face value “5 DOLLARS" below. Around the rim outside that circle, the twelve animals of the Lunar Calendar walking and moon phases counter-clockwise: pig, dog, rooster, monkey, goat, horse, snake, dragon, rabbit, tiger, ox and rat.

Description:
The reverse features a richly detailed large, powerful, and proud rooster standing on a rock, with its head cocked upwards and its beak open as it lets out a morning call, its plumage engraved with striking detail, tail feathers flowing upward. The rooster’s sharp beak, attentive eye, strong legs, and claws convey strength and vigilance. The background features stylized a blooming plant motif, adding harmony to the composition, along with the Chinese character (雞) for "Rooster" to the left. The top of the reverse design features the year ‘2017’ while the coin’s metal weight and fineness"1/20oz .9999 Au" is inscribed close to the bottom rim and the designer's initials (TD) are also incorporated into the design at the left side of the coin.
