The reverse depicts a lifelike pig shown in proud motion. Fine engraving reveals detailed musculature, textured skin with visible fur lines, pointed ears, rounded form, raised expressive snout,, hooves, and a curled tail amid stylized foliage, rocks and a peony flower along with the Chinese character (豬) for "Pig" above the dog, the inscription “Year of the Pig” is placed along the rim, and the Perth Mint “P” mintmark is also inscribed on the right of the coin.
