Description:
The reverse of the coin features the detailed image of an angry strapping ox amid bamboo. The animal is rendered with strong proportions, rounded body, sturdy legs, and curved horns, emphasizing endurance and resilience along with the Chinese character (牛) for "Ox" above the image, and the Perth Mint “P” mintmark is also inscribed on the left of the coin. The designer's initials "IJ" in tiny letters on the ox's hove.
